1. The Desktop:- when you first sister start windows you are presented with the windows work area also now as the desktop it is the overall work area where you can work or move items. Time desktop contents all the icon and shortcut which are required for the efficient working of the windows operating system. On desktop you can put icons of different application programmes or their shortcut.

2. Icons :- The graphical representations of an application link or a folder is called as icon. The icons are of two types system icons and shortcut icons. We can also change the image of the icons.

3. Taskbar :- Darbar usually locate at the bottom of Microsoft windows operating system, which displays the start button, system clock, programs that are currently running, other open windows.

4. Start Button :- The start button is one of the most important and feedly used button in windows. The man menu items after clicking start button or all programs, settings, find run, log off, shut down etc.
